Aquaculture Consultant
Dr.A. LAXMINARAYANA is an internationally known scientist in the field of Aquaculture and Fisheries. His fields of specialization include Aquaculture and fisheries, breeding, seed production and culture of shrimps/ freshwater prawns, mudcrabs, sea cucumbers and sea breams. He is also an expert in crustacean physiology and reproduction and sustainable development of wetlands with special reference to mangroves.
He has served as aquaculture Consultant/Advisor to Government of Mauritius, Cambodia, Iran, Vietnam, Maldives, Bangladesh, Bahrain,Qatar and Oman. He has also served as aquaculture Consultant (Expert) to FAO, JICA (Japan International Co-operation Agency) National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) World Bank and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Amritha School of Pharmacy. He has published several papers in National and International journals.He is serving as Reviewer of several national and International Journals dealing with Fisheries, Aquaculture and biological sciences.
